Ammiji’s Besan Ladoos are made from gram flour, slow roasted till its aroma fills up our house. The sugar used is desi khand – pure, organic and unprocessed. Bits of almonds provide that texture and crunch that is characteristic of a good ladoo. They’re made in small batches – not more than 1 kg besan at a time – because we feel that big batches do not do justice to these. And we love making them primarily because of the intoxicating fragrance that fills up our kitchen!
